Walter Biscardi points out some interesting info over on his blog on Creative Cow. As of Quicktime 7.1.6, the Quicktime Player will read timecode. Just access the new pop-up box by clicking on the timecode display in the bottom left corner and you are presented with 3 options: Standard, Timecode and Frame Number. Any time we are given the option of displaying timecode information in a Quicktime clip then that is a good thing. This new version of Quicktime should be in advance of Final Cut Studio 2.
