SCSI to firewire adapter
By S Simmons. Filed in Editing |Do you ever need to use an old SCSI device? A while back I wanted to get a bunch of content off of a bunch of Zip disks. My old Zip drive was SCSI. I was able to borrow a USB Zip drive from a friend and burned all the content to cds … crisis and expenditure averted. If I had had to use my drive then I could have purchased something like this:
It’s a firewire to Ultra SCSI converter from RATOC Systems. If you still have an occasional need for SCSI this might be the answer. And it’s also available in USB 2.0 flavor as well. Thanks to Peter’s Pro Audio Link Blog for pointing this one out.

I purchased an FR1SX, but have been unable to find a SCSI cable that can be used between FR1SX and SCSI drive and has the correct SCSI connectors on each end.
Do you know a source for the cable….????
Please advise.

Boy I really don’t have a clue. Did you try to contact the manufacturer of this device?
