Top Gear now on BBC America
By S Simmons. Filed in Editing |If you’re an automotive fan then you’ve probably heard of Top Gear. It’s the best television automotive magazine show ever produced. Fast and fun and lots of sports cars to be tested, it hasn’t been available in America except for the occasional showings on Discovery. BBC America has now begun airing the episodes on a regular basis. One of the best things about Top Gear is the top-notch production values. The segments are well written, beautifully shot and very stylishly edited. Check the schedule and see when it airs in your area and watch some quality television.
Here’s a little taste if you haven’t seen it before:

Check out Top Gear if you can. I’m against cars in all sorts of ways, but I make a point of watching this show each week. It’s so well made, they could be talking about plumbing supplies for all I care – the enthusiasm makes it worth watching.

Against all cars? Why in the world why??? I watched another episode again tonight and the production value really is fantastic. The wonderful colors, great hight speed photography and a real filmmakers quality. someone cares about making a great show and that’s what they do!

Thanks again Alex as I was wondering what format they shot. It’s obvious they put a lot of time in on the look. If you have any links to any articles about the production please post them as they would be a great read.
