ALL of us who have editing for money for any significant period of time has used the good old “Cheap, Fast, Good – Pick Two” line. Here it is illustrated in the perfect sign that I would love to hand in my edit suite for all agencies and record labels to see! Anyone know where to get one? good_2dcheap_2dfast.jpgThanks to my bro @ The Garage for finding this one.

One comment to “Pick Two”

  1. Comment by Norman:

I do the same thing with a large triangle, with each of the three words at its own vertex. Then I say to the producer or director or client “I can give you two of the three. Which one do you want to give up?”

I find that asking them to pick the one to give up, rather than the two that they want, puts the entire thing in perspective.
