Primer on iPod video out

When thinking about how the iPod can be useful in a post-production environment I once posted an article on how it can be a poor man’s timecode slate. Another very useful tool is for showing edits and programs to clients and/or showing your demo reel upon meeting a potential new client is an iPod. Whip the thing out of your bag and you can showcase your work with a few clicks. It’s way easier and faster than lugging a laptop around and more convenient than always having a DVD handy. And this is even more impressive (and more convenient) if it’s an iPhone due to its superior screen. To take this one step further there is the option hooking your device of choice up to a television monitor and let even more viewers in on the action.
