Looks like a great clock, can’t wait for the shipment to arrive. I may wait forever though – I ordered five of them and paid full charge for UPS delivery which is quite reliable in my city. The order took a week to get ready for dispatch and then they shipped it via EMS – anyone heard of it? Surely not my postwoman.

Sure I did, a week ago. The process was hilarious. First off, I had to go to the shipping agent’s sorting center across the city and collect paperwork for the customs. Then I had to go to the customs office downtown and present the paperwork. Paperwork stamped by the customs official, I went back to the sorting center to collect the sealed bag with my order. I was forbidden to open the bag and had to deliver it to the customs office for inspection. By the time I arrived, the customs office closed for the day so I went home with the sealed bag. Next day I went back to the customs office and their inspector opened the bag and checked the goods. I was free to go. It was the day of the 65th anniversary of the film studio where my daughter works as an editor and and they had a schindig in the evening so I was not late with my modest gift. Thank you for the tip Scott.

The clock is great, Chinavasion’s service sucks. They probably saved 50 or so dollars on shipping but they lost this client forever.
