Do you Twitter?

I’ve been reading and hearing a lot about Twitter lately … I signed up a year ago but never used it! So I thought I might give it a whirl again because …. you know … there’s not enough distractions already in a given day.

So today begins the great “Twitter about editing” experiment. If you are a post-production professional then grab yourself a Twitter account (it’s free) and let’s all Twitter about editing. I’m curious just to see what people are doing on a semi-regular basis in their day-to-day post-production world. My biggest fear is that it becomes addictive, at least that’s what I’ve heard. If you’ve got an iPhone here’s a few iPhone apps to get you started.

So give me a follow. My Twitter name is: editblog .

What’s your Twitter name? Post it in the comments and I will follow right back and we can all Twitter about editing.

I’ve added you. I’m doing an editing MA in England at the moment, occasionally work (though it’s rare I have the time at the moment) and am just getting into this blogging thing… but if I qualify…

I’m an FCP editor, and always enjoy good editing blogs.

BTW, my anti-spam word was “apple” – should I have a nice warm MacNerd glow, or does everyone get the same?

beo.. there’s different words that pop up… but I customized them to make them a little more familiar!

So this Twitter thing might be kinda fun. I noticed that if someone follows me then it shows up in Twitter and I can click Follow and follow right back. But wow isn’t it just a little self-absorbed that we want people to know what we are doing right at this second? I guess it’s more about feeling a little about being in a community. I wonder how we could actually make this useful?
