Quicktip: Changing FCP audio track labels

If you are working on an edit with a lot of audio tracks that involve mostly stereo audio pairs, you might find it useful to change the audio track labels from the default sequential naming convention to paired. I do this on music-based edits when I have a lot of music as it makes it a bit easier to identify the tracks at a glance. You can change this setting in the Sequence Settings > Timeline Options menu:

Then the audio track names will change accordingly:

    Thank you for the tip. What I would like to see is another list that has for example, A1L,A1R, A2L, A2R, etc. I work in
    a stereo layout, I still think in terms of left and right. Apple’s use of lower case letters is still a little visually confusing.
