Spaces sometimes freaks out
By S Simmons. Filed in Editing, Mac software |One of my favorite things about Mac OS X 10.5 is Spaces, the virtual environments that you can setup to cut down on screen clutter and distractions. I have one for web surfing, one for Final Cut Pro, one for Photoshop and so on. But every now and then it kind of freaks out when I boot up an application:
Activating Spaces (either by clicking the icon in the dock or using the hot key) will restore order.

My favorite Spaces bug — when a client initiates a Skype call, I can hear it ringing, but the “answer” button is hidden and I can’t find it! I’ll be toggling through multiple screens trying to find it, but to no avail!! Then my client IMs me saying, “I thought you said you were ready! Where are you? Trying again.” So how do I explain to him I can’t find the answer button! Too funny. Lesson learned, I disable Spaces every time I do a Skype con call!
