i beta tested V.3.0 on a Dual 2.5ghz G5 which is the bottom of the barrel spec for it. also i have an Adrenaline box and DNxHD board.
Today is the first i heard of this problem. when i inquired they said that the Intel boxes come across this prob faster than the non-intel but that it still happens.
weird cause it never happened to me which is lucky i guess but you could always buy a 2nd drive for your mac and put leopard on it.
use that as your V.3.0 and see what happens. the worst case scenario is that the Adrenaline box will reflash the firmware each time you switch from 2.8.x to 3.0. no big deal and it doesnt really stress the box out.
I have to say V.30 is worth the upgrade as well as the pennies on a new internal HD to try it out.
love to see what you think.

I was confused by that as well this morning, which is why I started that thread!
From what I understand now, the upgrade from v2.8 to 3.0 for people like me without an Assurance contract or who purchased MC 2.8 before March is $495. I think this is a pretty good price though, because it includes Avid FX (which I don't have now), an upgrade for BCC Continuum, upgraded version of Sorenson Squeeze and of course a version of MC that will run on OS 10.5 ! If you have an Assurance contract, I'm under the impression the upgrade is covered under that.

Here's hoping they fix the bug related to the Mojo/Adrenaline capture soon or maybe this is their way to get everyone to upgrade to their new DX hardware!
