QuickTip: Apply single Avid effect to multiple clips
By S Simmons. Filed in Avid editing, Quick-tips |In Avid Media Composer, to apply a single effect to multiple clips at once, first select all of the clips in the timeline with segment mode:
Then double click the desired effect in the effect palette or a custom effect you’ve saved into a bin.
The effect will then be applied to all selected clips in the timeline:

also if you hold option on mac and prob alt on windows when you double click the effect in the effect palette it will “span” across all the clips as one effect. neat!

That’s definitely handy, of course for the example in the illustration it would usually be better to apply the 16:9LB Effect to filler on a track above the clips in question…
