Yesterday was Backup Day! I forgot to post it which is a lesson in good backup strategy … set yourself a reminder.

Summer is almost here. Don’t forget about backing up before vacation.

I think the recent storms in the south are a reminder off-site backup can be just as important these days as a local backup. I’ve been happy with CrashPlan and have successfully restored files from there. There are other options as well. (Sorry this reminder is a day after the usual first of the month)

It’s time to backup again if you haven’t done so since last month. Here’s another backup perspective from the Conigs blog.

It’s January 1, 2011! Happy new year to all. If you don’t currently have a backup plan then why not make a regular onsite and offsite backup plan one of your New Year’s Resolutions!

Here’s a monthly reminder so if you haven’t backed up in a while, get to it.

A monthly backup of your system should be a minimum (hence these reminders) so you might consider something like CrashPlan for automated backups. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and like it so far. The next thing I need to test is restoration as a backup is only as good as being able to get the info back.

Here’s a reminder that it’s the first of the month: If you haven’t backed up your system in a while then do it today!
